Not parent yet but did like this advice on fatherhood.

Notes ​

• The key thing that we need to do is to teach our kids how to create "things" instead of just "consuming".
• One of the most striking things you learn from having kids is how much you took your parents for granted.

• Parenting practices seem to have little or no impact on children's personalities, contrary to some of the best-known theories in psychology.
• It's nice to sometimes print physical books of stories your child tells you.
• Teach your kids to get comfortable changing their mind in the face of compelling reasoning. It’s a rare superpower.
• Having a two-year old is like living with a little gnome from a folk tale that you have to trick into doing things because if you ask it directly it will curse you.
